‘I Did Not Close Down Access Bank In Ekiti, It Is A Lie From Hell’ – Fayose Says

Ongoing rumours that the Ado-Ekiti branch of Access Bank Plc was prevented from opening the branch has been denied by the Ekiti state government.

It was being claimed in some quarters that the branch was shut down due to attempt by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to arrest the wife of former Minister of Aviation, Mrs. Precious Chikwendu Fani-Kayode in the bank premises last Monday.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Idowu Adelusi in a statement on Wednesday said the government had nothing to do with it and the state had no reason to shut down the bank.

“We enjoin the good people of Ekiti State and Nigerians in general to disregard such unfounded rumours. They should not let themselves be dragged to the level of the unintelligent like the opposition people have shown by embarking on this type of insinuation they probably brought from the pit of hell,” the CPS stated.
